Leading the marketing strategy planning and budgeting activities for the marketing and Business Development departments ensuring to achieve Zain’s overall objectives, managing, guiding and supporting the team in preparing periodic reports, conducting research and analysis activities that covers various commercial functions, and reviewing the prepared reports, in addition to managing and maintain the relationship between the marketing department and external entities such as consultants and research service providers.


You will be responsible for :-

  • Managing the marketing strategy planning with other related parties ensuring the achievement of Zain’s overall objectives, and developing yearly budget for marketing and business development departments, and making sure of alignment with corporate budget.
  • Overseeing and monitoring the process of conducting research studies and preparing reports to fulfill the needs of marketing, business development and other departments, which include market share and value share analysis, international network analysis, consumer behaviors, revenue forecasting, product positioning and pricing, trends, new products and services developed by international counterparts in the telecommunication sector, and others.
  • Managing the process of preparing, tracking, monitoring, and identifying trends in daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monthly dashboards for marketing and commercial functions.
  • Directing and supporting the team in understanding and analyzing developed concepts, studying the financial impact of potential products and developing comprehensive business cases/ models as part of the roadmap development.
  • Providing marketing and business development functions with advice and recommendations regarding appropriate and profitable pricing of their products, services, and offers.
  • Supervising and supporting the team in preparing reports that fulfill the data requirements of the management, Group and Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRC).
  • Performing post launch analysis on new launched products and identifying gaps between expected and achieved results.
  • Managing the relationships with external research providers and communicating Zain’s requirements.
  • Calibrating and overseeing the research efforts within marketing and business development departments, and maintaining a research database in order to minimize duplicated research efforts.


 Strategic Part: 

  • Developing the Function’s work plan and assigning related activities to serve the achievement of the Function/ Department's goals.
  • Supervising the implementation of the Function’s plans, monitoring work flow, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring that instructions, circulars and organizational and operational decisions are followed and applied.
  • Ensuring that work activities are carried out according to the pre-set performance goals, and suggesting any necessary actions to the direct supervisor.
  • Participating in setting the Function’s budget, in addition to monitoring and controlling the expenditure in coordination with the Finance Function.


Administrative Part: 

  • Conducting periodic meetings with direct reports to ensure that priorities are clear and workflow is running smoothly.
  • Preparing periodic reports with respect to the function’s activities and achievements.
  • Ensuring manpower requirements are met according to specified manpower plans.
  • Appraising direct reports’ performance according to scheduled plans and recommending necessary actions as per the applied practices.
  • Satisfying the direct reports’ training needs and evaluating the outcomes of training courses and making changes as and when needed.  
  • Approving direct reports’ administrative affairs such as: vacations, leaves…etc.
  • Nominating a deputy to carry out the responsibilities of the position whenever the need arises.




  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • You shall have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred to have experience in the Telecommunications field.


  • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent professional certificate.
