The job holder is responsible for overseeing the Southern Region (e.g. flagships, kiosks, VIP, Indirect and franchise) ensuring sales planning and improvement initiatives, sales supervision, relationship management, and support provision in order to enhance sales at Zain.


Strategy Management :

Develop performance objectives in coordination with Directorate and continuously conduct progress towards Departmental and strategic objectives and implement periodic performance reports to offer evaluation results and recommend improvements

Department and Team Management:

Implement improvements to policies and procedures in order to deliver high-quality services
Carry-out the day-to-day operations, offer expertise, encourage teamwork and coordinate work processes to achieve high performance standards, meet established targets and engage employee


Planning and Business Development:

Forecast Zain’s Sales growth in the Southern region and use information as an input for the development of overall sales plans
Develop Southern sales yearly plan and objectives in accordance with master direct sales plans and initiatives in order to achieve set objectives in term of revenue and targets
Coordinate launch of new Southern direct sales channels to increase revenues
Develop Southern Sales monthly targets in accordance with approved yearly direct sales plans and initiatives


Relationship Building :

Develop and maintain constructive relations with authorities in the Southern region to ease operations
Partnership Management :

Manage partnerships with indirect channels such as wholesalers, distribution partners, strategic and alternative partners and POS to sell Zain products
Southern Sales Supervision:

Supervise retail sales activities in the Southern region and ensure achievement of sales targets whilst providing seamless experience between directly-owned and partner-owned stores
Southern Shops Management :

Supervise flagships, kiosks, and franchise activities, schedules and back office in the Southern region ensuring adherence to guidelines and policies


Southern Support Provision :

Ensure proper and timely receipt, redirection and follow-up of Southern requests, enquiries and complaints for operations efficiency
Coordinate with relevant Sectors for training of the Southern team, marketing, logistical and sales support to enhance performance and quality of services
Coordinate with Partners and relevant support functions to overcome Southern operational issues
Ensure that the Southern shops sales team is fully visible of all products and services provided by Zain
Ensure the provision of full support to indirect partners in terms of training, marketing and orders to enhance quality and performance delivery


Problem Solving:

Identify and highlight operational and performance problems in the Southern region and provide support for corrective action implementation

Direct and VIP Sales Operations:

Manage all sales activities at Southern region, supervise and guide a team to achieve established targets
Resolve escalated key clients' sales enquiries and complaints in the Southern region in line with predefined policies and procedures
Build new relationships with clients in the Southern region and coordinate with existing key clients to identify new business opportunities and participate in building revenue streams to maximize profits
Understand customer needs in the Southern region and research competitive landscape and competitor moves in order to identify new opportunities or improvements for business growth purposes
Manage VIP sales events at Southern region, supervise and guide a team to achieve established targets


Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Monitor Sales activities at the Southern region and develop periodic reports as needed
Conduct detailed and comprehensive analysis to data related to sales activities at Southern region for the detection of potential/actual non conformities and implementation of corrective actions
Assist in translating customer insights and opportunities in the Southern region into actionable Direct and VIP sales plans and targeted offers
Identify potential business opportunities at the Southern region to increase Zain’s revenues
Review reports submitted and develop reports pertaining to Southern sales achievements regarding the status of sales


People Management :

Develop and motivate staff, conduct the performance, give formal and informal feedback and appraisals and conduct guidance on training programs to maximize employees' performance


Bachelor's Degree\Master's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent

A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a similar role
